The exhibition will showcase work from a number of local artists with different subjects and media used. There is also an 'Artist Gallery' for those new to exhibiting a small selection of their work giving them a chance to dip their toe in the water . . . ask for details.
Here are the artists and some samples of their work. Each has a very different style.
Caroline
Local artist Caroline uses acrylic and charcoal as her favourite medium producing some dramatic pieces of art.

Her attention to detail and search for the right colour and lighting embellishes the grace and beauty of some 'wild beasts' and people, capturing the spirit of the subject with a deep sense of understanding.

Beautiful pictures in stunning detail. Originals are available as will be prints in different sizes.
She is also able to offer commissions if you want something very special.
Ness
Ness has a very unique style and her use of colour and texture makes her work stand out with impact.

ZOE
Zoë is a professional artist who has been painting and teaching for over 20 years. She works mainly in oils, with a particular love of landscapes, birds and the natural world.
Her paintings are loose and impressionistic, with a strong focus on light, atmosphere and colour. She enjoys working both outdoors and in the studio, often taking inspiration from places she knows locally as well as from travels further afield.
Zoë has exhibited her work in galleries and exhibitions in the UK and abroad, and for many years ran her own art school, teaching hundreds of students. She now continues to take on commissions and run local classes and workshops alongside developing her own work.
Richard
Richard Ballantyne, working along side artist Carol Read, has over the last 15 years built up an artistic partnership .
The ceramic work often starts life as a piece thrown on the potters wheel before manipulation and sculpting into a finished artwork . Being inspired by the wildlife about us they often take the form of British creatures.
The finished piece is dried then fired before glazing and rakuing.
The raku process entails removing the piece from the kiln at 1000 degrees and putting it into sawdust - a pyromaniacs delight!
Work can be found in galleries across the country from Ullapool in the north to Falmouth in the south
Richard has a great talent and huge experience of glazing and character creation that will put a smile on your face when you see his work.
Yvonne
Yvonne's painting style veers from cartoon cats painted on silk with liquid silk dyes to Orthodox Icons for churches painted on wood using egg tempera or acrylics.
The silk painting style also means that there are bishops wearing her artwork and a church up north with a 3 metre wide acrylic painting of Christ playing the drums in a Rock Band!
Yvonne even strayed into watercolour when she illustrated a couple of children's books.
MARK
For 64 years I was never interested in art.
In later years I would take paper and pencils on holiday and do some drawings and paintings . Just an excuse to sit in the bar all afternoon.

Since I have retired, I try and keep myself busy by painting. No particular theme. Just how I feel on the day. Some dark some happy but basically anything that I think looks good. I have done quite a few commissions of pets.
I do like to experiment with colours ( or mistakes because I am colour blind 😆)
BARRY
Barry is a local self taught artist who lives to paint in different styles.

He enjoys working in mixed media and works in oil, acrylic and watercolour.

Paula - PAVLA Fluid Art UK
As a local acrylic fluid artist I love to transform and manipulate colour and movement using various techniques, paint consistencies and tools.
My creative journey is inspired by the unpredictable beauty of fluid art, where each pour creates unique patterns. I enjoy experimenting with vibrant colour combinations, layering techniques, and flowing compositions to create modern artwork that feels energetic and alive.
My art reflects me and my imagination where no two pieces are ever exactly alike, each is a one-of-a-kind creation. Through my work, I aim to bring enjoyment, eye catching colour and positivity into the spaces where my paintings are displayed.

GERRY
I received my first “proper” camera for my 18th birthday. That lead me to a lifetime of taking photographs, initially taking photographs of friends and family and occasionally undertaking photo shoots of colleagues children.
Over the years on holidays and days out I took my camera with me and photographed anything that I felt interesting.
I soon found out that architecture and buildings were a good source of subject matter.
Holidays around Europe have allowed me to take photos of a wide range of buildings with a particular focus on Art Deco and Art Nouveau.
My passion for vintage cars also lead me to attend local Car Shows and photograph cars for myself and again undertake photo shoots for others who wanted to have photographs of their cars, which had been lovingly restored.
Paul
I’ve been painting now for about ten years after discovering I could actually put something onto paper by accident!
My early influences were Graham Cox of Moody Views studio in Trowbridge and Sheffield’s Steve Coates. I attended a few workshops at ‘Moody Views’ where I learned various techniques and much of my work here is influenced by what I have learned from Graham and Steve.
I have tried watercolour but realised early on that I really like the techniques that I can use with pastels. For me, they suit the type of landscape, seascape and big skies that I like to paint.
Sheila
Deanshanger-based artist Sheila Swan captures the beauty of the natural and sacred world through watercolour.
After a long break from painting, she returned to her art around 20 years ago and has continued to develop her skills through art courses both in the UK and overseas.
Sheila’s work is inspired by movement, light and colour. She enjoys creating expressive, loose-flowing florals and atmospheric landscapes, as well as painting the intricate details of early medieval Italian sacred art.
Tina
I have loved painting since childhood, when I won my first painting competition at the age of seven. Many years later, in my sixties, I completed a degree in Fine Art.
My work has been exhibited in Oxford, London, Canada and North America, and I was delighted to have a painting selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in the 1980s.
I still paint for the same reason I always have – for the simple pleasure of capturing the landscape and the world around me.
JOHN
John has got enjoyment from drawing and painting all his life.
Art and Crafts in various forms have always formed an element in his varied professional life:
He was a studio artist making stained glass windows for churches, cathedrals and industry. He taught evening classes in fine art for some years, and has given instruction in crafts such as silversmithing, gem cutting, pottery, woodturning, cabinet making and photography.
For the last 20 years, before his retirement in 2009, he worked as a CAD designer and then in 3D design and modelling.
Art is continuing to enrich his life in retirement.
Steve Thompson
Steve Thompson is a local artist living in Stony Stratford who painted for many years until he stopped painting in 1966. He started painting again in 2016 and has not lost his touch with wonderful acrylic scenes from all over the country.
All of the work he has on display will be originals in acrylic.
